Speed Gear Guide

Speed gear in Bloxrooms serves one purpose: outrun what you cannot fight. This guide covers every movement-related tool in the shop, how they stack, and whether a speed build beats a survival build in the open beta.

Pair this page with the gear tier list, how to survive entities, and how to get cash before spending on movement upgrades.

Speed gear inventory

Sprint+

Effect: Increases base sprint speed by approximately 15%. Cost: Individual purchase or bundled in Explorer+. Survival value: Moderate. Speed without stamina is a straight-line trap. Sprint+ bought alone is how players die faster while believing they are safer.

Speed Coil

Effect: Adds a passive movement speed bonus when equipped, stacking with Sprint+. Cost: Included in Release Bundle (limited time). Survival value: Low to moderate. Useful on the indoor street for navigating between rooms quickly. Does not replace Flashlight+ for visibility.

Stamina+

Effect: Doubles the stamina pool while sprinting, allowing longer sustained runs. Cost: Individual purchase or bundled in Explorer+. Survival value: High. This is the counter to Sprint+ trap. Speed plus stamina means you can actually escape when Entity Alert fires.

Explorer+ (bundle)

Contains: Sprint+, Stamina+, Flashlight+. Survival value: High. The bundle is the correct way to buy Sprint+. Stamina+ fixes the speed trap. Flashlight+ keeps you from running into still lifes at full pace.

Speed vs. survival: the verdict

A pure speed build (Sprint+ plus Speed Coil) gives you fast legs but empty vision and no stamina reserve. An entity that triggers Entity Alert will catch you in three seconds if your stamina is gone. The correct speed build is always paired with Stamina+ and Flashlight+.

The table below assumes you are deciding between spending cash on speed upgrades versus survival upgrades:

ScenarioRecommended spendWhy
First purchaseFlashlight+See what you are running from
Second purchaseStamina+Actually use the speed you bought
Third purchaseSprint+ (via Explorer+)Now speed makes sense
Fourth purchaseSpeed CoilFun on indoor street, not essential

Speed in the indoor street

The indoor street is where speed gear pays off most visibly. Wide corridors let you move between landmark rooms quickly, and artifact spawns in this area benefit from fast collection. Speed Coil is most effective here because there are fewer entity spawn points in the street geometry.

Speed and entity survival

Speed alone does not save you from entities. The counter is: Stamina+ to run, Flashlight+ to see where you are going, and Entity Alert from Gear+ to know when to start running. Speed Coil is the luxury layer on top of that foundation.

Do not buy Speed Coil before Flashlight+ and Stamina+. The cash spent on a speed toy is cash not spent on the tools that keep you alive.

Speed Coil trading value

Speed Coil appears in the Release Bundle but is also occasionally traded between players. If you have duplicate Speed Coils from a bundle, the trading value is low — most players consider it a nice-to-have, not a must-have. Sell duplicates for cash that funds Flashlight+ instead.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Bloxrooms explorers.

Is Speed Coil worth buying?

Speed Coil is a nice-to-have, not essential. It works best on the indoor street where corridor space lets you navigate quickly. If you are choosing between Speed Coil and Flashlight+, buy Flashlight+ first.

Should I buy Sprint+ alone?

No. Sprint+ without Stamina+ is a trap. You run faster but empty your stamina bar in seconds. Buy Sprint+ as part of Explorer+ so Stamina+ is included.

What is the best speed build?

Explorer+ (Sprint+, Stamina+, Flashlight+) plus Speed Coil from the Release Bundle. That gives you speed, stamina, and vision. Entity Alert from Gear+ adds the awareness layer.

Does speed help against entities?

Speed helps you reach hiding spots faster, but without Stamina+ you will run out of sprint mid-chase. Flashlight+ is more important than speed for survival.
