How to Find Artifacts in Bloxrooms
Artifacts are the beta's real map — cash is just what they become.
Bloxrooms tells you to “scavenge for artifacts worth cash” and then “upgrade your gear to survive whatever’s hunting you.” That is the progression spine. Everything else — chalk lines, still lifes, misremembered streets — is how you stay alive long enough to pick the objects up.
The Artifact Collector badge sits on only a small fraction of Welcome players. Fully Geared is almost empty. Those two numbers mean artifacts are scarce or easy to walk past. This guide is how not to walk past them. Spend the cash with how to get cash and gear.
What an artifact is (what we actually know)
The studio has not published a rarity table. We know:
- Artifacts are findable in levels, not only in a lobby shop.
- They convert to cash. The Release Bundle’s $2000 dump proves cash is a number you can hold.
- Artifact Compass “locates artifacts near you.” It was sold alone, then moved into Gear+ and taken off individual sale. That is how you know the Compass is strong.
- Collector is a mid-run badge, not a join gift. You have to do the work.
Until a patch notes page lists names, treat “artifact” as any interactable the Compass pings that is not chalk, a coil, or a still-life prop. If you are unsure, pick it up when it is safe. Inventory mistakes are cheaper than missing Collector.
Search pattern without a Compass
- Clear the room with light first. Flashlight+ range exists so you can see a pickup against yellow wallpaper. Default light will miss objects on dark carpet.
- Sweep edges, then center. Still-life clusters (lamp, chairs, posed figures) are natural hiding spots for “misplaced” objects. Scout them using the rules in survive entities — do not dive the pile.
- Check the lie in the architecture. Indoor suburban streets, repeating logo walls, red emergency rooms: the joke of a misremembered game is that loot sits where the original game would never put it. Look behind the fake garage door. Look under the staircase that goes into a ceiling.
- Chalk after a find. If a room paid out, mark the door. You will backtrack when the Compass is on cooldown in your head.
- Leave when Alert fires. Gear+ owners should drop the search the moment Entity Alert ticks. Dead explorers collect nothing.
Search pattern with Compass
Equip it. Walk. When it reacts, stop sprinting. Compass plus Sprint+ is how you run into a hunt while staring at the HUD. Strafe the last studs, flashlight on the ping, grab, chalk, rotate to the next room. Do not clear the whole level “while you are here” if Alert is unhappy.
Compass does not replace map knowledge. Levels is still how you avoid looping the same empty hall.
Why you are not finding any
| Cause | Fix |
|---|---|
| Sprinting the center line | Walk edges; see controls |
| No light | Flashlight+ or lower graphics bloom |
| Troll Panel chaos | Rejoin a quieter server |
| You already grabbed the room | Chalk so you stop rechecking |
| Expecting a rain of loot | Collector is rare on purpose |
| Playing the wrong game | Confirm Bloxrooms Corporation, not Blackrooms |
After you pick it up
Convert to cash when you have a safe moment, not in a doorway. Then buy the upgrade that finds more artifacts or keeps you alive to do so. The gear tier list puts information (Compass, Alert, light) over Troll Panel weapons for this job. The loadout planner will argue the same.
If a future code grants cash, that is a skip for the conversion step, not a skip for learning rooms. Curious (tiny award count) is probably hiding in a room people loot-sprint through. Walk that room once with the flashlight at your feet.
Team sessions
Thirty players in one instance will race you. Call pings in chat if your stack is friendly. Do not stand on the artifact while deciding. If someone is using player commands from Troll Panel to freeze the lobby, leave. Your Collector progress is not worth a hostage hour. Players explains who can actually admin the place.
When this place ID finally has a walkthrough video, it will be embedded here — one clip, mid-article. We will not borrow Blackrooms tape-farm footage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Bloxrooms explorers.
Do I need Artifact Compass?
No, but it is the strongest finder. It is currently part of Gear+, not a cheap solo pass. See the gamepass tier list.
Where do artifacts spawn?
In the misremembered levels. Exact nodes are not published. Sweep edges, still-life rooms, and architectural jokes.
Do artifacts persist after death?
Not documented. Assume cash and purchased passes persist; assume ground loot might not. Bank when you can.
Is Collector required for Fully Geared?
Not stated, but you will not buy the full kit without cash, and cash comes from artifacts. Read how to get cash.
